Careers
Grania worked in the engineering industry for 10 years before returning to university to study dentistry. She graduated from University College Cork in 2008 and worked in a number of practices before opening her own practice in late 2009. Beginning with just herself and a nurse/ receptionist, Grania built up her practice to a multi-operatory practice with a staff of 16, joining Portman Dental Care in December 2021.
Grania enjoys seeing and getting to know her patients, so her special interest in orthodontics works for her in this regard. It brings her pleasure to be part of her patients’ transformation throughout treatment – the big smiles at the end of treatment makes the hard work feel worthwhile. Outside of work she is married with three children and dogs and enjoys spending time with her family, particularly Sunday lunches.
